Kate is our super-organised studio manager and events planner.
Kate cut her teeth in the movie industry, working in casting, talent management and the hectic world of production. Following ten years in New York, she moved back home and brought her skills to Clearleft.
Kate wears two hats at Clearleft. As the Studio Manager, Kate keeps the office organised, handling enquiries, dealing with invoices and making sure there’s always a plentiful supply of tea. On top of this, Kate is our event manager. She ensures the smooth running of our three annual conferences, UXLondon, Ampersand and dConstruct, handling everything from sending speakers’ contracts and booking their flights, to organising the parties.
An author in the making
Aside from bringing good cheer to the office, Kate brings her love of writing and regularly contributes to the blog. Kate is currently writing her first novel, and recently read from her forthcoming book at our Brighton SFevent, in the company of Jeff Noon, Brian Aldiss and Lauren Beukes.
Away from the office
Kate loves all things vintage. She’s even started buying vinyl again too, having snapped up a very lovely 1958 record player! She’s particularly fond of shopping for vintage dresses.
